Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking PCOS?

Hi am ciara... I have being having period problem about a year now and always miss my period for 3 months and all 4... So I went to see a gynecology and he told me to do xtray and blood test I found out that I have polycystic ovarian disease so he prescribe me with provera 10mg.. I have being taking it and my period come back fully for the week... Me and my boyfriend is having sex almost a year and its very difficult for me to get pregnant and am worried.. Since lately I have being feeling lazy, feel beats in my throat, terrible belly pain and back pain... And I know am not pregnant.. Am just confuse I don t know what s wrong with me.

Hello,
This is a difficult problem. You have to ovulate in order to get pregnant so getting your periods regulated may help. A medication that helps some people do this with PCOS is metformin. Also being on birth control pills for a few months can help get your periods regulated as well. Try to find a gynecologist that specializes in PCOS to get the best treatment possible. It is possible for you to get pregnant but it can take time and be very difficult
