Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hi I took plan b after an incident on December 9th but me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex on the 15th of December I have a lot of signs of pregnancy and its December 31st, still no period. took a couple tests all say negative. could plan b give a false negative on a pregnancy test?
Plan B intake would not interfere with the results of the urinary pregnancy test. And the chances of pregnancy are very very negligible after intake of emergency contraceptive within first 24 hours of unprotected sex. I would suggest to wait for a period of 2-3 weeks for the normal menses to flow regularly as many of the times, there is delay due to intake of emergency contraceptive pills.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
