Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking Plan-B?

I took Plan B 48 hours after intercourse and it s been almost 4.5 weeks later. I feel like I have to puke and I don t have much of an appetite for anything. Could it be possible that I am pregnant? I also took a few (plenty actually) pregnancy tests and the most recent one was a few days ago. They were all negative.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Plan B or morning after pill is an emergency contraceptive pill which prevents pregnancy post - sex. It has few side effects like stomach pain, dizziness, headache, breast pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, changes in menstrual cycle etc. Also, it's not 100% protective. So chances of getting pregnant is still there. I advice you to:
- Do serum beta HCG test which is more reliable than HPT to rule out pregnancy
- Consult your doctor for further assistance.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
