Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I took the morning after pill for the first time after having sex with a condom (it did not split or break) as I wanted to be over precautious. 6 Days later I have gotten my period, however am not due for it until the 8th of March, is this a concern?
Hello dear I understand your concern No chance of pregnancy in your case as you used condom and plan B pill. Condom prevent the entry of sperm inside the vagina Postior 2 is also highly effective in preventing the pregnancy.Bleeding 6 days after taking pill could be a side effect of the pill as it cause breakthrough bleeding (due to progesterone withdrawal effect). Your next period could be delayed by 1-2 weeks. Avoid stress, take healthy diet, drink plenty of water and do regular exercise Hope this may help you Best regards Dr. Sagar
