Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking Postinor 2 After Intercourse?

I had sex on my ovulation day. 14days after d first day of my period. I took Beecham ampiclox the morning after and stopped the following day. Was scared of being pregnant so I took postinor 2 after 3 days of the unprotected sex. I have been having severe headache since then. My test shows negative but the headache continues. I m I save?

Hello,

It appears that you had unprotected intercourse during ovulation days, which makes it extremely possible to conceive. However, you have taken emergency contraceptive pill Postinor 2 after 3 days. It might not protect against pregnancy as such pills need to be taken within 72 hours. You are experiencing headache as a result of side effect caused by intake of Postinor 2. However, it will subside gradually.

Kindly wait for withdrawal bleeding to happen, as it should happen by 3 weeks from the day of intake of pill. If bleeding doesn't happen by 3 weeks, you need to take urine pregnancy test and seek medical attention promptly.
