hello,
i can understand your concern.
emergency
contraception like ipill has certain failure rate(that means one can get pregnant) even after its use. THIS IS PRESENT WITH ANY MODE OF CONTRACEPTION.
taking a second pill would not add to the efficacy of the drug. instead it can lead to increased side effects like
bloating,
nausea,irregular menses.
in case you get intimate regularly its advisable to use combined
oral contraceptive pills.
the menses should come as per her cycle some times a few days prior or later to the actual date.
since your girlfriend has taken two tabs there is a chance of periods getting disturbed.
to test the
pregnancy you need to get a urine pregnancy kit from the pharmacy and it can be tested at home. if the initial result is negative and your girlfriend doesnt get her periods repeat the test again the next day.
if the pregnancy test is positive and you donot wish to continue the pregnancy , get an
ultrasound to confirm uterine pregnancy and consult a gynecologist. the gynecologist would prescribe drugs like mifeprestone and
misoprostol as per the regimen your girl friend will have to follow it.
post usage of these drugs the fetus would be expelled out.
hope you have got your answers.
thanks for choosing HCM.
