Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking And Emergency Contraceptive Pill?

I have an irregular period. Normally it comes every other month. However, 2 months ago, it was on Feb 10 and last month March 21, falling on the consecutive months. Yesterday, Friday April 7, I had unprotected sex in which a very small amount of cum got into me. So around 25 hours later, I took an emergency contraceptive. I m stressing myself out worrying that I may become pregnant because I ve spent hours on the internet scaring myself. Is it possible that I may have taken the EC during ovulation, this it not working?

Hi, I think emergency contraceptive can be ineffective if taken after ovulation has occurred or is due to occur in 48 hours. But , you will have to wait till your periods. If periods don't come in time, do a urine pregnancy test at home to rule out pregnancy. If negative, you can take some medicines like progesterone for inducing periods. If positive, consult a doctor if you don't want pregnancy.
