Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking Birth Control Pills?

im taking birth control pills for 1year and six months and stop for 4 months and just a month ago i started taking it again, i finished my 21 pill packs and 7 days break, today is my 8 day but i still dont have my period. is there any possibility that i am pregnant?

Understand your concern
Do not worry, pregnancy possibility is nil.
As it is highly effective i preventing pregnancy by preventing ovulation and make the cervical mucus thick. Its failure rate is only 0.5-1 %.
As you took 21 pill without the missing tablet, no chance of pregnancy.
Delay in period for one day is normal and does not suggestive of pregnancy.
If period will delay by 8-10 days then you have to go for pregnancy confirmation by urine pregnancy test and or blood HCG.
But i think your period will com e in next 2-3 days, so wait for period.
