Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking Emergency Contraceptive Pill?

I had sex with my girlfriend last month after her periods... She took contraceptive pill immediately on the same day... According to her period cycle, she was expecting her periods on 16th June but she haven t got her periods yet... Is it normal? Please suggest what should we do?

Hi,

Noted your history of sex with your girlfriend after periods, she too the contraceptive pill immediately on same day, she has not got her periods even after the due date.
If the period is of 28 days then sex after periods is usually in a ''safe period'' meaning there is no ovulation hence no chances of pregnancy.
Secondly, whether she has taken emergency pill like i-pill or routine contraceptive pill is also important as i-pill can give best results.
Since she has taken the hormonal pills these can change the pattern of periods.
So nothing to worry about.
If the date is shoot by 5 to 10 days then urinary pregnancy tests can confirm whether there is a pregnancy or not.
Blood tests gives better results.
If there is no pregnancy she will have menstruation soon.
Also ask her not to have stress or anxiety as these too can change the period pattern.
