Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking Emergency Contraceptive Pills?

hii mam i m worried because i m getting delay in periods after my first intercourse.after intercourse my bf gave me pill after 12 hrs and even there was continuous bleeding for 4-5 days.but now i am worried about delay in periods i was supposed to get on 8th feb..please help me out

Hi,

Emergency contraceptive acts by postponing ovulation. The bleeding you had seems to be withdrawal bleeding when the hormones in the pill left your body.

Due to delayed ovulation, the menstrual cycle tends to be delayed by 8-15 days. That must be the cause for your delay in periods.
