Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking Oral Contraceptive Pills?

I ve been on a low dose birth control pill for almost three months and I skipped last months period by continuing my active pills. I m suppose to get my period next week. I just lost my virginity 4 days ago and I bled after it happened. Now I m still continuing to have light spotting mixed with dark brown discharge and also clumps of it when I urinate. I m also having abdominal cramps. We didn t use a condom and I ve been taking my pill everyday around the same time as directed. Is this normal?

Hello,

Pregnancy is unlikely.

If you are worried, go for a urine pregnancy test (UPT) for reassurance.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
