Is Pregnancy Possible Post Intercourse On The Ovulation Day?
Hi doctor, I m not really sure how to explain this so I ll try my best my boyfriend and I had sex last weekend and my period is going to be here tomorrow and usually I ll show signs of my period coming and there hasn t been any yet, I m just worryed that I might be pregnant. I checked my ovulation schedule and it said that I was most fertile that weekend so I m just not sure.
As far as your history is concerned, you had sex at the time of your ovulation, the chances of pregnancy is high. Sperm maximum can survive for 48 hrs after ejaculation and ovum for 24 hrs after ovulation. If there was a overlap of both by timings then you must wait for a week to notice any delay in periods. As there is a day left out for your regular cycle, it's too early to decide now.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Yogapriya Vasudevan, General & Family Physician
