Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
A couple of weeks ago me and my boyfriend were messing around and he ejaculated all over my shirt. I threw my shirt in my laundry basket. A couple of days after that I don t know how but some how I ran out of underwear so I just grabbed a pair from my laundry basket but they were next to my shirt that had sperm all over it. I am 12 days late on my period and I m starting to get really nervous. I ve never missed a period before. I am having a lot of the symptoms pregnant women have within the first 2 weeks of being pregnant. I don t know if I m being paranoid or not. Am I pregnant? Please help.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. After going through the description, it appears that you are anxious about the incident and worried about delay in the periods. Sperms in semen on a dry surface, such as clothing or bedding, are dead by the time the semen has dried. Hence, the clothing you wore and chances of getting pregnant out of it can be completely ruled out. Hence, the delay can be due to your anxiousness or may be due to hormonal imbalance, which needs to be evaluated, provided you don't get your periods. If you want to know about your pregnancy status, get your urine tested for pregnancy. All the best.
