General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

- I-pill is an emergency contraceptive pill that is meant to be taken after unprotected intercourse. However, it would have done its work in your case as well.
- The spotting she had is likely due to the hormone changes from the i-Pill
-I would suggest that your partner keeps track of her periods and take a urine pregnancy test at home just to be safe.
- With that said, the chance of pregnancy should be low
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pranav Balakrishnan, General & Family Physician
