Is Pregnancy Possible Through Intercourse During Menstruation?

Hello, I had unprotected sex while I was on my period, took Plan B just in case. My period is now two weeks, late, I ve taken several pregnancy tests and all came out negative. I do have cramping or soreness on the right side next to my pelvis, I don t know if they are related. Thank you.

Hello,

If the pregnancy tests come out negative then you are not pregnant and you should have the periods within the next 2-3 weeks. Hormonal treatments may affect the menstrual cycle and cause irregularities. If you do not get the periods during this time, you may need to see your doctor.

I hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
