Is Pregnancy Possible Through Intercourse With Irregular Menstruation?

Hello Doctor , I am having question regarding my period. My period is never regular, its delays up to 10-15 days.My last period date was on 2nd of August and its already 8th of September. I had unprotected sex today with my husband, is there any chances to get pregnant ?

With irregular periods, it is going to be hard to tell if you are pregnant or not based on a late period, since this may just be part of the irregularity of your periods. However, it certainly is possible to get pregnant with irregular periods, and it is possible you are pregnant now. At this point I would check a pregnancy test, and each week that your period is late, I would check, since it is hard to know when you ovulate, and even if the pregnancy test is negative, it may be that it is just too early for the test to detect it (most pregnancy tests can detect pregnancy about 1-2 weeks after conception).
