Hello Mrs,

Welcome to Health Care Magic. I understand your concern.

The chances of getting pregnant depend on the day of your menstrual cycle you had the intercourse, and it is possible only during ovulation days. Ovulation is one part of the female menstrual cycle whereby a mature ovarian follicle (part of the ovary) discharges an egg. It is during this process that the egg travels down the fallopian tube where it may be met by a sperm and become fertilised.
A woman's menstrual cycle lasts between 28 and 32 days on average. The beginning of each cycle is considered to be the first day of her menstrual period (menses). Ovulation itself generally occurs between day 10 and day 19 of the menstrual cycle, or 12 to 16 days before the next period is due.
By calculating the date of your intercourse, you could approximately define if you have any chance of being pregnant.
Beside this, I would like to mention that the chances of getting pregnant from pre-ejaculatory fluid are very low.
I would recommend you to do a pregnancy test, if you miss your period, from the first day of your missed period. If you have regular periods, you'll probably know when this is. If you're not sure when your next period is due, you can do a pregnancy test 21 days (three weeks) after you last had unprotected sex. If your pregnancy test is positive, you could meet your local gynaecologist and consult with him/her for further advices.

Hope I answered to your question.

Take care,
Dr. Ina Zaimi
