Is Pregnancy Possible Through Protected Sex?

Hi. So this may be a little wierd but I have a huge question. So last Saturday ( December 3 ) I lost my virginity. He did wear a condom and it didn't break but did c**. Ever since then I've had stomach cramps and feeling nauseous every once in while. I also have very bad anxiety after the situation and worried myself to death. Could I be pregnant?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As a physician I Would like to tell you that being pregnant not only depends on sexual contact but also on which day you are on in your menstrual cycle. Sex closer to ovulation on day 14th of your cycle increases your chances of getting pregnant many folds. I would also like to tell you that you should have extra protection like OC pills along with condoms to eliminate the risk of getting pregnant as these methods are not 100% full proof to avoid pregnancy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr.Abhijeet
