Is Pregnancy Possible Through Withdrawal Method?

Hey, so this is really stupid, and I m 99% sure I m just being paranoid, but I thought I d ask here just to be safe. I guess the question is, can pre-ejaculatory fluid on fingers lead to pregnancy? Well I know it technically CAN, but is it still statistically possible? I guess I should give a little back story. My romantic partner and I were fooling around , you could say. I gave him a hand job, since we are both fairly inexperienced, he demonstrated the best way we liked it. Then, some point later, he fingered me for a bit, but he mostly just rubbed my clitoris. However, his fingers were in my vaginal opening for a few seconds. I do remember there being pre cum at some point, but I do not remember if that was before or after he fingered me, or if it was before or after he demonstrated on himself. Either way, I know he rubbed his hands on my clothes so if there were any, it was probably rubbed off. Also, he did urinate after his prior ejaculation, and I ve heard that flushes out any remaining semen. That whole scenario was about a month ago. I haven t had my period since then, and the incident was about a week after my last period. However, my cycles have always been very long, the longest being two months. It is rare that it is 30 days or less. Also, I have been very stressed out lately, because of this and other reasons, so I know that definitely messes with your cycle. I m 18, haven t had intercourse (I think the term virgin is outdated and heteronormative), and that was the first time I had ever been fingered. I know the easiest way to ease my fears would be to buy a pregnancy test, but I m not in an easy position to do so, and I don t want to until absolutely necessary. If my period doesn t come by December 10th, that s when I will take one, because if the odds are against me, and I am pregnant, I still need enough time to arrange a medical abortion. So, can someone put my fears to rest?

Hi,

Looking at your description, chances of getting pregnant is less likely. In my opinion instead of waiting for so long you should go for urine pregnancy card test if you can access a kit, otherwise just relax, you need not to worry at all. You are not pregnant.

I would advise you to take due care when next time you indulge in such an activity or try to avoid during the period of ovulation which occurs 14 days prior to next expected period.

Hope this answers your question and will allay your anxiety and put your fear to rest. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Best wishes,
Dr B R Hudda
