Is Pregnancy Possible Through Withdrawal Procedure Of Intercourse?

Hi, this may be a little weird . I am currently pregnant and I haven t told my husband yest mainly because I do not know if it is his. We ve been having some problems and we both stepped out of our marriage. I had sex with him January 2nd. Had my period on January 16-20 and light brown spottings for 5 days after that (never had that before ever). Fooled around with a friend on January 25th (we did not have sex but we were both naked and he never ejaculated but possibly had precum . I just found out that I am pregnant and hcg shows 1275. Can precum Cause pregnancy? I m stunned. And my friend is also shocked.

Thank you for your query.

would you please clarify a few things for me?

1) are your periods regular? if so , what was the date of your last menstrual period ( the one before jan16 )?
2) You mentioned unusual spotting. were the first four days of your period, on jan16th, like your other period?

In a regular menstrual cycle of 30 days, ovulation ( and chances of getting pregnant) usually occurs between the 10 th and 20 th day (frequently between the 11 th and 15 th day). your timing on both occasions Jan 2nd and 25th fall in that time frame. Statistically it is more likely that you may have conceived from the intercourse in Jan 2nd rather than Jan 25 th ( if your cycles are regular).

'Precum' or pre ejaculatory fluid may contain viable or dead sperm. chances of containing viable sperm are less, and the chances of it resulting in pregnancy without intercourse is remote. however, to answer your question, ' Yes', it is possible.

please note thatwithdrawal procedure or 'coitus interrupttus ' has to be done correctly for it to be a safe contraception method and it should be individualized for each couple. Even if you it correctly all the time, statistics show that there is a 4 % chance of conception.

hope I've answered your query. please feel free to get back to us if you need further clarification.
wish you good health
