Hi , I am on Diane 35 , and I just wanted to find out what are my chances of falling pregnant are . I don t want to fall pregnant just yet . However my boyfriend and I had sexual intercourse and I only realised when I came home that night it was day 14 . I went to the doctor the next day and she said I don t need to / can t take the morning after pill because the hormone imbalance of me being on Diane will be too high , I am stressed as it is exam time for me however tonight I went to the bathroom and had some light brown discharge and blood , is this normal or am I pregnant?
The brown discharge is not a sign of pregnancy. If you miss a period you can simply go for a urine pregnancy test (UPT) to check whether you are pregnant or not.
If UPT is positive, you can opt for medical termination of pregnancy( MTP). Consult a gynecologist and he will direct you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
