Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello..I started TriNessa on Nov 13th just after I started menstrual . One week later I had unprotected sex. I wasn't concerned until I realised a couple days later that I started the trinessa on the 2nd week pills. So I just made up for that and took the actual 1st week of pills, ultimately finishing the pack..down to the last 7 days. My question..is there a possibility that I could've gotten pregnant as a result?
As a physician I would like to tell you that as long as you have all 21 pills as one per day without any missing pills as well as 7 pills of placebo, you have absolutely nothing to worry about.
I would also recommend to you that you should take your pills regularly without missing any pills and take your pills at a specific time only in night after meals. That way you will not miss one of the pills in future.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Abhijeet
