Is Pregnancy Possible While On An IUD?

Hi, I went to a clinic to get my iud removed (I got the mirena put in 5 yrs ago and it was time to remove it), and the doctor was unable to take it out. He was able to get a hold of it, but just couldn t take it out. He sent me to a different clinic and the same thing happened. A week before my appointment I began thinking I might be pregnant because I had noticed I had been gaining weight in my belly for a while, which seemed odd, but then my bloatedness became a little too much. I thought for sure I m pregnant. But a urine test was done at the clinic and it came back negative. I went for a transvaginal ultrasound today to check for the iud, but I am curious to know whether or not an ultrasound tech can see a baby when they are not looking for one...?

Hi, I think on ultrasound baby is visible even when it is not expected. So, if your ultrasound doesn't show a baby, you are not pregnant. Also urine test is negative. So, don't worry about it. Hope it helps.
