Is Pregnancy Possible While On Contraceptive Pill?

Hello, so I took my pill at the proper time last night, about 3 hours before having sex. Been on the pill for a month and they recommended you wait that long before fully relying on the pill. My husband ejaculated inside me and Now I m ovulating but will take my pill again tonight. Is there any chance I can get pregnant?

Hi,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I will be answering your concerns.

The birth control pills are effective ( 99.9%) from day one if you start them within the first 5 day of menstrual cycle, you will be protected right away. If you have started on any other day you will have the protection after 7 days. It is extremely important that you take the pills correctly daily at around the same time. If you have been taking them correctly as instructed, you will be protected against pregnancy. There is no chance for pregnancy. Don't worry.

However there is a extremely slim possibility of method failure. Therefore, if you miss your period you need to get a pregnancy test done.

I hope this is helpful.
If you have any further concerns do contact me through Healthcare Magic.
Best wishes,
Dr Rama
