Is Pregnancy Possible While Suffering From A Uterine Fibroid?

I m scheduled for a hysterectomy in 2 days. I have a huge 10+cm fibroid and a couple small ones. I m 5 days late and took a home pregnancy test that came back positive. 1-what are the chances of a false positive and 2-will the Dr. Still do the hysterectomy? I do not want children.

Hello, my name is Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi. I understand your concern.
The pregnancy is possible when you have uterine fibroids. They influence in pregnancy complications such as miscarriage or it can prevent normal implantation of the pregnancy or disrupt the growth of the placenta.
You should consult your doctor for confirmation of the pregnancy and treatment.
Hope my answer was helpful, if you have any other questions I'll be glad to help, thanks!
