Is Pregnancy Possible With Light Spotting And Negative Test Result?
Okay so i had my depo shot in june/july and was supposed to get it in nov. but i had gotten old blood a little before thanksgiving and then had the same for four days again, i cpnsider it my period. And the last happened dec 16. I usually am on 27 day cycle. And i had unprotected sex dec 27. I was supposed to get my period two weeks ago but havent. And last weekend i had very little old blood come out and it was only when i wiped with clear mucus. i thought i saw a faint faint line on the first response test jan 16. and i took one saturday and it came out negative but i dont think i had held it under long enough. Is it possible im pregnant?
Hi, You did not say if you have had your due depo shot. If it is so, it is likely that you are having some breakthrough bleed. If you did not have it, you should suspect conception. Urine pregnancy test may not rad positive until at least three weeks after an unprotected intercourse provided you had ovulated at the time of the act. In the current scenario, you should get a serum beta-hCG titre estimate coupled with a trans-vaginal sonogram to clarify the issue. If pregnancy is ruled out, you should test for hormonal imbalances and get treatment. Hope this helps.
