Is Pregnancy Safe When Diagnosed With Thyroid Issue And Diabetes?
I am a 33 year old woman with 3 kids (1 vaginal & 2 csection) my last pregnancy I had preclampsia and she was delivered at 32 weeks. I currently have thyroid issue and diabetes. I am not currently taking medicine for either issue. I just found out I am pregnant and need a professional opinion on whether I should terminate the pregnancy because it is too high risk or if I can have the baby.

Is Pregnancy Safe When Diagnosed With Thyroid Issue And Diabetes?
Hi, Pregnancy can be safe as long as you take the medicines for these conditions. Definitely there is a high risk of maternal as well neonatal complications associated with uncontrolled diabetes and thyroid disease. I advise you to start taking the treatment of these conditions and have an normal baby. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali
