Is Prolonged Bleeding Normal After Taking Abortion Pills?
I took pills to induce an abortion about almost a week ago,I think it worked because ave been bleeding since then,it got heavier recently but not something of concern but what worries me is the fact that lately ave noticed the blood smells bad and strong..is this normal?
I advice you to do one USG pelvis to check for retained products of pregnancy if any left out, as it might increase the chances of bleeding .
Also your next menstrual cycle will be delayed as it might take minimum of 2 weeks for the ovulation to occur . Also consult your gynaecologist for further assistance.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care. Regards, Dr. Yogapriya V, General and family physician.
