General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Depo- provera can be associated with abnormal bleeding in some women, there are some who may not have this reaction.

It is possible that the bleeding may stop on its own but since it has been ongoing for close to 2 weeks , you can speak to your doctor about medication to stop the bleeding.
In some persons, there may be no future episodes.

If it recurs and it is troublesome for you then you may want to consider an alternative contraceptive.

I hope this helps
