Is Pulse Exam Test On Feet The Only Test Which Tells If A Person Is Having Artery Problem?
I would like to know if the only test that tells a person if they have artery problems such as narrowing of the arteries, is the one where the doctor does a pulse exam on the feet? In other words, if there is no problems with the pulse test on feet, does this mean it's impossible to have narrowing of the arteries where a stent might be required? (doesn't other pain in the legs such as sharp continuing pain where there are veins mean there could be a blockage somewhere) ?
Hi, Feeling pulse in arteries at foot is a just preliminary examination for vascular supply. Absence of pulses shows condition of local vascular supply. For requirement of stent, there are various tests to be carried out. Investigations require are, S.cholesterol, lipid profile, stress test, angiography etc. Ok and take care.
