Is Putting Pacemaker For Irregular Heartbeat While Having Diverticulitis Safe?
My mother is 90 years old, had no heart problems. She was hospitalized because of diverticulitis and now they want to put a pacemaker because of irregular heartbeat. Is this safe for her? they also put her on baby aspirin and wanted to give her Warfine but we said no because she had a stroke last year,

It is safe to put a pace maker.
It is safe to supplement her baby aspirin( PROVIDED SHE DOES NOT GET ABDOMINAL PAIN AND SUPPLEMENTED WITH ANTACIDS)
It is safe to give her Warfarin too..... Provided her blood pressure is under control,her prothrombin time is kept normal, her platelet count is adequate, and if she has diabetes it must be controlled. these are the main factors.One can stop baby aspirin and replace it with TICLOVAS.( THIS IS LESS ACIDIC)
