Is Rabies Transmission Possible After A Dog Scratch To The Hand?

Hi doctor: Scenario: my son s Labrador dog scratched my hand 2 days ago while I was cleaning her cage. The dog is 7 months old and complete with all the required vaccinations, staying in a cage since birth and eating just dog food and drinking milk and water. Before I am not aware that dog scratch has also rabies possiblity until somebody told me so i do some reasearch, the result was, I don t have peace of mind and I am worried about my condition. My Question: Is there a risk on my part? do i need to consult a doctor? if yes, which doctor do I need to consult? Please help me have some peace of mind

Hi,
You may visit ER / Emergency department. Probably after examination, vaccination if required will be given. However it is advisable to take along all the vaccination details of your dog along with you also.
