Is Radiation Therapy Advisable For An Ovarian Cancer Woman Suffering With Epilepsy?
I am in remission from ovarian cancer 3.5 years is it safe to have procedure I have had some issues with ports in the past - internal one was jogged loose after surgery causing infection The one by my collar bone had to be removed in emergency procedure it almost popped through skin I think a seizure may have moved it. I have vestibular developed disorder as well as epilepsy. I have memory issues which are getting worse after over 40 concussions. My seizures are increasing and I really need something to help. I have generalized epilepsy surgery not an option. Have been on all meds but 3.

Hi,
Radiation therapy kills cancer cells effectively but it can damage / cause seizures. Here being in abdominal area, though the risk is lesser. Radiation therapy in epileptic patient has to be decided by treating do for after weighing its benefits & side effects.
