Is Radiation Therapy For Prostate Bed Advisable For Person With Normal PSA Range?
Hi, My question is prostate related. Specifically, radiation therapy post prostatectomy 8 years ago. My husband has a recent PSA reading of 0.22 and it has been recommended that he undergo radiation to the prostate bed. PET scan is negative for any bone involvement. Are there any clinical findings that indicate this is the way to go at this time.? Thanks, Fran
many thanks. it looks like all test are normal. what is the biopsy result of previous surgey ? Any signs and symptoms of prostatism ? Advice is if previous rectal biopsies are positive or repeat positive then needs or suspicion of Prostate Cancer then you will radiotherapy. follow up with your urologist for further clarification.
