Is Radiation Therapy The Only Treatment For Lung Cancer?
Just left doctor s office after being told colrectal cancer that was removed over 2 years ago has metastasized to both lungs. Doc is taking my case to a team to discuss radiation and/or chemotherapy. I see from reading this is not uncommon but what is percentage of cancer being completely gone after treatment?
It depends on the specifications of the case. If there are single metastatic elements in lungs radiotherapy can be done. If there are more elements chemotherapy is more useful. Sometimes both can be used but it is case specific.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka,
