Is Radiation Treatment For Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma Given Extraneously Or Intravenously?
Hi. I had a total thyroidectomy on January 2,2015 and when the pathology report came back it revealed there was at least one active cancer cell (papillary thyroid carcinoma) in the thyroid gland. My surgeon advised my to see a radiation oncologist to have radiation treatments. How is this treatment given...by mouth or intravenously? He said I d have to stay overnight in the hospital.
