Is Rash Around Eyes While Having Flu Symptoms A Matter Of Concern?

My wife has the, what seem like, beginning symptoms of the flu. She is achy, headache, low fever, and nausea earlier that went away after she vomited. She has had no appetite and now has a red rash around her eyes. She has taken some OTC stuff...well she is taking it now. How concerned should we be about the rash around her eyes?

What treatment , you have taken till now is ok. You have reported rash around eye. You mean around the skin or conjunctiva. Iaround conjunctiva, it can be allergic or bacterial con conjunctivitis. If associated with itching then it can be allergic. If associated with thick discharge, then it can be bacterial. During viral infection because of low immunity secondary infection can effect. After getting the clarification treatment can be advised.
