Is Rectal Bleeding After Tying The Hemorrhoids A Cause For Concern?
My sister is 52 years old, and about 2 months ago she had her first colonoscopy. They found a lot of hemmorroids and tied them. Now today she called me saying she has a lot of blood coming from her rectum. She only weighs about 102 pounds, and has tried gaining weight for years. Should we be concerned? or would we know if there is anything serious from her very recent colonoscopy?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have severe painful ankle sprain . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like straining during bowel movements , sitting for long periods of time on the toilet , chronic diarrhea or constipation , obesity , pregnancy and low fiber diet . Your doctor has tied the hemorrhoids , so that they can shrink and only scar tissue is left behind . But if there is bleeding then you should consult doctor for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics cover so that they will not get infected , along with analgesic and laxative and topical oitment containing local anesthesia and corticosteroid . Doctor may recommend surgery to remove them . For now avoid spicy and heavy food , eat more vegetables and fruits .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
