Is Recurrent Itchy Blister On Lower Buttocks Indicative Of STD?
I have a blister looking raw spot on my inner butt cheek close to my anus it is flat and not really noticeable but, it burns and sometimes itches. It reoccurs every so often in the same exact place. My previous Dr said it was a reaction to my pads so I changed and it didn t come back. 3 months later it Is back and in the same exact spot. What Is it? She did say it was not an STD.
* As per my clinical experience, the itchy blister on lower buttocks at the site of butt crease is not an STD infection.
* In majority of the instances, it is the Pilonidal sinus with tiny opening or hole at the butt crack site.
* The issue occurs when there is secondary bacterial infection or hair follicle gets stuck inside to make it swell, tense and at times ozzing of blood drops or pus from the region.
* Diagnosis is usually clinical and some cases do require soft tissueultrasound examination with or without a probe study to reveal the internal extent.
* In case of need of a surgery, MRI perineum region is best recommended for finer tissue detals.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
