Is Recurring Bruise On The Calf A Cause For Concern?
I have a recurring bruise on the top part of my calf with no reason as to why I have it sometimes its large sometimes its small sometimes its really dark sometimes its really light shape and size and color change sometimes its not there at all this has been happening over the last few months should I be worried? What should I do?
Hi, From history it seems that there might be having some vascular insufficiency giving rise some capillary bleeding. If you are on some blood thinner medicine like aspirin or warferrin does cause these bruises. There is possibility of having deep vein thrombosis giving rise this problem. Rule out diabetes as well. Consult vascular surgeon and get examined. Investigations like prothrombin time and color Doppler will give important clue about your problem.
