Is Recurring Right Sided Sharp Pain Under The Ribs A Cause For Concern?

The last few nights when I go to sleep I have been waking up with a sharp pain under the right side of my rib cage.. I ve taken ibuprofen and laid on an ice pack for 20 minutes which finally allowed me to go back to sleep the pain is sharp when I move to turn sides in bed and very painful when I lay on my back in bed Should I see a doctor and what is your opinion

I do understand your pain and discomfort



As per your history is concerned you have pain under right rib cage as mentioned by you and you have already taken medication for pain. In that location first ruled out gallstones by doing an ultrasound examination if possible.
