whilst laying on my side in bed i regurgitated mostly water in to the back of my throat i felt some of the liquid in the back of my throat gurgling in to my eustachian tube for the first day there was a large pressure difference in the tube which was quite uncomfortable that was a week ago now i can t equalise my eustachian tube properly but the pressure difference isn t so great. i can feel squeeking and popping when i try to equqlise my ear will this clear naturally? or is there possibly particles (eg food) stuck that will need to be removed? is it possible stomach acids have caused damage?
The eustachian tube pressure differences are usually caused by air pressure differences and very rarely fluids from throat can go inside but inflammation or infection inside may cause these symptoms. You need an otolaryngologist review to see for any mechanical cause of obstruction in pharynx and also any thing which is adding into gurgling of food like pharyngeal pouch etc. Meanwhile antacids like omerperazole before meals and motilly agents like domperidone may help.
Wishing you a speedy recovery. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
