Hello and thank you for asking HCM.
I read carefully all your history and symptoms. When you were in ER,did they do any blood test? If so,can you please send them to me,to check them. Did they say if you had any pancreatic enzymes elevated in the blood tests?
In my practice ,in our hospital, we don't operate a
gallbladder only when it has sludge in it. A gastrohepatologist can help you treat the sludge with medications like Chenodeoxycholic acid. So,I as a surgeon, would not recommend going under surgery only for sludge in your gallbladder.
Even,if you do the surgery,is it safe to remove the gallbladder without problem.Your
liver will creates the bile and stores it in your gallbladder.Once your gallbladder is gone, the liver will just produce the bile and discharge it into the
duodenum.
Feel free to contact me any time.
