Is Right-sided Lump On Neck A Sign Of TB?

History of TB in the lymph node. Pea sized lump on right side of neck. Is it TB? Hi I have had TB in the lymph node on the neck about 4 years ago, I had taken the full 6 month medication and the dr had ruled disease was gone. Recently I have noticed on my right side of my neck there is a pea sized lump that i can feel when I press against it. My question is would I have tb again? Hello and welcome to HCM,
Lymph node enlargement can occur due to infections, inflammation or neoplasm.
Tuberculosis is one of the infections causing lymph node enlargement.
A fine needle aspiration of the enlarged lymph node should be done to rule out recurrence of tuberculosis.
If there is evidence of tuberculosis on aspiration cytology, you will have to take anti-tubercular treatment again for at least six months.
I suggest you to consult your doctor for aspiration cytology and thus further management.
