Is Ringing In Ears A Cause Of Spinal Tap
My husband had a spinal tap done two weeks ago. He got a spinal headache but did not go in to the doctor to get a patch done. They said it would go away with time. He still has the headache and now he is having a loud buzzing or ringing noise in his ears. It s constant and he can hardly stand it. Is this from the spinal tap and will it be permanent along with the headache?

As per your query you have head ache and ringing or buzzing in ear also known as tinnitus . Well as such there is no direct effect of spinal tab with tinnitus . But as there are some complication like pain after spinal tan make body feel stress , that stress and anxiety might cause tinnitus . The symptoms you mention in query like headache and tinnitus also pointing towards condition known as Meniere's disease . Meniere's disease is a disorder of the inner ear . So , i would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis . Doctor may order test like rotation chair test , hearing teat and CT scan . Doctor may prescribe antiemetic drug , eprisone and recommend vestibular rehabilitation exercises .
