Is Root Canal Treatment For Necessary For An Exposed Nerve Due To Broken Tooth?
Hi there 1 of my back teeth broke in half right down to the gum exposing the nerve, the pain i cant describe every tooth seems to be affected bye this 1 tooth, my head feels like its going to burst aswel. im terrified of root canal will this be the case?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain if your tooth is broken and your nerve is exposed, then I can understand that you mus be in severe pain and in case if the tooth is broken down till the gum then it might be needing Root canal treatment followed by Post and core treatment that will help in saving the tooth and also causing relief from pain and rebuilding the tooth artificially..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like x ray can help in planning the course of treatment.
As of now you can take higher painkillers like Tramadol or Ketorol for pain relief and avoid chewing from painful side.. Also avoid very hot or very cold foods to prevent sudden pain and sensitivity..
Hope this helps..
