Is Safe To Take Thyronorm, Multivitamin, Atorvastatin And Alprax Together?
My father passed away in stroke. I am 50 now. I have BP. My medication is thyronorm 75 mg in the morning. I take shellcal 500 mg and multivitamin tablet 1 no. (Riconia..) In the night I take atorvastatin (atorva 10 mg) and cancor 2.5 mg... for the sleep I sometimes take alprAX 0.25 MG..(I cut that to half 0.125..) can I take the alprox regularly...(0.25 or 0.125) Originally doctor prescribed 0.5 mg alrpax..(for 10 days..) after consulting him, I told I may take something regularly... but I reduced the dose
Hi! In your case you've been on Alprax for insomnia. Though you were advised 0.5 mg you've reduced the dose to 0.125 mg. You'll do well to know that Alprax induces tolerance over a period of time (which means that gradually the dose required to produce the desired effect increases with time). As long as you find the low dose effective you can continue taking it. However you also need to discuss with your doctor alternate ways of reducing your anxiety and getting good quality sleep. All the best!
