Is Scoliosis A Genetic Disorder?

I have had Scoliosis since I was approximately 12 to 13 years old. I have a Thoracic Curve while my younger sister by 4 years, who was diagnosed with Scoliosis around the same age, has a Double Major Curve. To my parent s knowledge there hasn t been any known relatives with scoliosis, or least that were diagnosed. I want to see what the chances are of any of my future offspring will develop Scoliosis?
