Is Second Dosage Of Kenalog Advisable For Severe Allergy?
71 yrs old. Been thru allergy testing and treatment twice with no help. Started using Kenalog about 7 yrsy ago and it worked at first. Now one shot does not keep my horrendous reactions to pollen controlled. I think I need two. I usually try to get only one shot a year but I live in the Rocky Mtns and the wind and pollen is on overload this year. Please let me know if Kenalog can be given twice in sprintime and how far apart they should be?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Dr. H Kay's Response
Hi,
In general, the use of Kenalog for allergies is considered safe and effective when used as directed by a healthcare professional. However, the dosage and frequency of Kenalog injections can vary depending on the severity of the allergies and the patient's overall health.
If you are considering a second dosage of Kenalog for your severe allergies, you should consult with your healthcare provider. They will be able to evaluate your specific condition and determine if a second injection is appropriate. They can also provide guidance on the dosage and timing of the injection.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. H. Kay, General & Family Physician
