Is Seizure A Withdrawal Effect Of Narcotics?

My sons increased seizure activity is worse due to the government interference in the use of narcotics for a manor injury car accident. Due to trying to use alternative methods after 15 years of perscription narcotics. Is the withdrawal causing the severity and frequent seizure activity possible a cause? Can he die from the recurrent seizures he s having?
